Are Voters Satisfied With PM Modi's Performance Near His 10-Year Term? Here's What ABP-CVoter Survey Finds

ABP, in association with CVoter, conducted a survey to find if the people across India are satisfied with the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

New Delhi: As the BJP shifts focus to the big final — next year's Lok Sabha elections — after routing the Opposition in the three key heartland states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan in the semifinal, the larger question before the voters remains — has the ruling party under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre done enough to return for a third, straight term at the hustings? Is 2024 already in the bag for the BJP-led NDA? Are the people truly satisfied with how PM Modi has led the country? Do the people, who will be the final arbiters for the all-or-nothing battle in 2024, believe that the country has ticked all the boxes in terms of development, public welfare and social inclusion on PM Modi's watch?

The latest opinion poll by ABP, in association with CVoter attempts to answer some of these questions.

Of the people surveyed, 47 percent said they were very satisfied with PM Modi’s work, 30 percent said they were not so satisfied, 21 percent said they were not at all satisfied, while 2 percent said they did not have an opinion.

Chhattisgarh and Bihar

In Chhattisgarh, where the saffron party wrested power from Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress dispensation in the recently-concluded state elections, 54 percent of the people said that they were very satisfied with PM Modi’s work, 26 percent said they were less satisfied, while 20 percent expressed dissatisfaction.

In Bihar, 57 percent of those surveyed said they were very satisfied, 22 percent said they were less satisfied and 20 percent said they were dissatisfied.

Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

In Rajasthan, 56 percent of the people said they were satisfied, 25 percent said somewhat satisfied, while 19 percent said they were dissatisfied. In Madhya Pradesh, where the BJP was facing 18 years of incumbency, 55 percent of the people said they were satisfied with the work of PM Modi, 26 percent said they were less satisfied, while 19 percent said they were dissatisfied.

Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, 44 percent of those surveyed said they were very satisfied with the work of PM Modi, 30 percent said they were somewhat satisfied, 25 percent expressed dissatisfaction, while 1 percent refused to comment.

Punjab and West Bengal

In AAP-ruled Punjab, 39 percent of the people said they were very satisfied with PM Modi’s work, 26 percent said they were less satisfied and 25 percent said they were not satisfied at all.

In West Bengal, 36 percent of the people said they were very satisfied, 37 percent said they were less satisfied and 34 percent said they were dissatisfied.

Uttar Pradesh

In this state, 48 percent of the participants said that they are very satisfied with the work of PM Modi, 27 percent said they were less satisfied, and another 25 percent expressed dissatisfaction.

Karnataka and Telangana

In Karnataka, 56 percent of the people said they were very satisfied with the work of PM Modi, while 25 percent of the people expressed dissatisfaction. Meanwhile, in Telangana, 42 percent of the people said they were very satisfied with the work of PM Modi, 32 percent said they were less satisfied and 21 percent said they were dissatisfied.

Notably, in both these southern states, Congress took over the administrative reins in the state elections held this year.
