New Delhi: As per the latest trends on ABP News for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls results, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is inching to a complete sweep in Bihar as the BJP-JDU combined leads on 38 out of the 40 seats in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal United is in all conquering mode in Bihar with most of its bigwigs leading from their respective parliamentary constituencies with major vote margins. The 'Modi Tsunami' wave which seems to prevalent in the entire Hindi heartland belt has also extended into Bihar. Prominent NDA leaders who were leading from their seats included Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad (Patna Sahib), Radha Mohan Singh (Purvi Champaran), Giriraj Singh (Begusarai), RK Singh (Ara), Ashwini Kumar Choubey (Buxar), Rajiv Pratap Rudy (Saran), Chirag Paswan (Jamui), Ram Vilas Paswan's brother Pashupati Kumar Paras (Hajipur). While the NDA-leaders are in the driver's seat leading in their constituencies, the news for the opposition does not seem to be too bright as their seasoned leaders like Sharad Yadav (Madhepura), actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha (Patna Sahib), former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kjmar (Sasaram), former JNUSU president and CPI nominee Kanhaiya Kumar (Begusarai), RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha (Karakat), Vikassheel Insan Party chief Mukesh Sahni (Khagaria), former Bihar CM and HAM (S) Jitan Ram Manjhi (Gaya). In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the NDA had won 22 of the 40 seats in the state. The Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party which was part of the NDA fold won six seats. The Lalu Prasad led Rashtriya Janata Dal won four seats while the Indian National Congress could only bag four seats.
