Udaipur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Arjunlal Meena from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 236762 votes. The polling / voting in Udaipur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Arjunlal Meena and Congress Party#s Raghuveer singh meena

• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, JD(G) candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 44087 votes. Here, JD(G) leader Naranbhai Jamlabhai Rathava attained 173809 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Bhikhubhai Rathava bagged 129722 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 21301 votes. Here, JD leader Rahawa Naranbhai Jamalbhai attained 228521 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Rathwa Amarsinhbhai Virayabhai bagged 207220 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated JNP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Rathwa Amarsinh Viriyabhai attained 222414 votes and JNP's Kolidhor Bhimsinhbhai Nagjibhai bagged 110427 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JNP candidate by a margin of 72483 votes INC(I) candidate Rathawa Amarsinghbhai Viriyabhai had got 209984 while JNP got Rathawa Mohansinh Chhotubhai votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Bhanu Kumar Shastri attained 240181 votes and INC's Kalu Lal Shrimali bagged 93125 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between SWA and INC here SWA candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 3404 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated SWA candidate by a margin of 65506 votes INC candidate Dhuleshwar had got 182502 while SWA got Hurma votes.

• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and BJS here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his BJS counterpart with a difference of 3570 votes.

‘এবার আর মোদি হাওয়া নেই’। ২০১৪ সালে যে তরঙ্গ গোটা দেশকে উদ্বেলিত করে ছিল, তার ছিটেফোঁটাও নাকি এবার দেখা যাচ্ছে না! সংবাদমাধ্যমের এই ‘আবহাওয়াবাণী’-তেই বেজায় চটেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। পশ্চিমবঙ্গে প্রচারে এসে নরেন্দ্র মোদিকে বলতে শোনা গিয়েছে ‘চুপ চুপ কমল ছাপ’, মধ্যপ্রদেশে আরও একধাপ এগিয়ে তিনি বললেন, “দেশের প্রতিটি ঘর থেকে তৈরি হচ্ছে মোদি স্রোত।”

তাঁর বক্তব্য, “পণ্ডিতরা বলছেন, এবার নাকি আর কোনও ঢেউ নেই। এসবই দিল্লির পরিকল্পনা মাফিক হচ্ছে। এবার অতীতের তুলনায় ভোটের শাতংশ অনেক বেশি, তাই তাঁরা আরও চিন্তিত হয়ে পড়েছে।”

মধ্যপ্রদেশে নরেন্দ্র মোদি দাবি করেছেন, দেশের নতুন ভোটাররা, মা ও বোনেরা নিজেদের মতি স্থির করে ফেলেছে। তারা স্থিতিশীল সরকার চায় এবং নরেন্দ্র মোদিকেই প্রধানমন্ত্রী দেখতে চায়। তাঁর বক্তব্য, “পণ্ডিতরা দুটি বিষয় নিয়ে একেবারেই সচেতন নয়। আমার যুব বন্ধুরা, যারা প্রথমবার ভোট দিচ্ছে এবং মা ও বোনেরা, ধর্ষকের মৃত্যুদণ্ড সুনিশ্চিত করা ভাইকেই ভোট দেবে বলে মনস্থির করেছে। ঘরে ঘরে গ্যাস পৌঁছে দেওয়া প্রধানমন্ত্রীকেই ভোট দেবে মা ও বোনেরা। পণ্ডিতরা বুঝতেই পারেনি, দেশের প্রতিটি ঘর থেকে লহর তৈরি হচ্ছে।”
