Tamluk: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Adhikari Suvendu from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the elections by a margin of 246481 votes. The polling / voting in Tamluk constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Siddhartha Naskar and All India Trinamool Congress#s Dibyendu Adhikari

Tamluk 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate had defeated WBTC candidate by a margin of 87952 votes CPM candidate Lakshman Chandra Seth had got 477516 while WBTC got Nirmndu Bhattacherjee votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Communist Party of India here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Communist Party of India counterpart with a difference of 7910 votes.
