Mathura: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Hema Malini from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 330743 votes. The polling / voting in Mathura constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Hema Malini and Rashtriya Lok Dal#s Narendra Singh

Mathura 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

The total voter turnout was 64.01% Lok Sabha percent with 66.45% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 60.98% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 1953 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 20 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Mathura, 18 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Hema Malini of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Jayant Chaudhary by a margin of 330743 votes.

  • 2009 Lok Sabha Elections: In 15th Lok Sabha poll, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate defated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RLD candidate Jayant Chaudhary attained 379870 votes and BSP's Shyam Sunder Sharma bagged 210257 votes.
  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate with a difference of 38132 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Manvendra Singh attained 187400 votes and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Choudhary Laxminarayan bagged 149268 votes
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate with a difference of 41727 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Ch. Tejvir Singh attained 210212 votes and Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate Rameshwar Singh bagged 168485 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Tejveer attained 303831 votes and BSP's Pooran Prakash bagged 113801 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 64572 votes BJP candidate Tej Veer Singh had got 167369 while INC got Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 15512 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Swami Sakshi Ji attained 156523 votes and JD candidate Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary bagged 141011 votes
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 37713 votes. Here, JD leader Manvendra Singh attained 233318 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Natwar Singh bagged 195605 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Manvendra Singh attained 263248 votes and LKD's Gayatree Devi bagged 159848 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP(S) candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 82663 votes JNP(S) candidate Chaudhary Digamber Singh had got 166774 while INC(I) got Acharay Laxmi Raman votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 41592 votes. Here, Communist Party of India leader Mukunda Kumar Mondal attained 188227 votes and INC candidate Purnendu Sekhar Naskar bagged 146635 votes
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BKD candidate with a difference of 21439 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Chakleshwar Singh attained 111864 votes and BKD candidate Digamber Singh Chaudhari bagged 90425 votes
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 84431 votes IND candidate G.S.S.A.B. Singh had got 172785 while INC got D.S. Chaudhary votes.
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and CPI here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his CPI counterpart with a difference of 7266 votes.
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 25993 votes. Here, Independent leader Raja Mahendra Pratap attained 95202 votes and INC candidate Digamber Singh bagged 69209 votes
  • 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 18261 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Krishna Chandra attained 71235 votes and IND candidate Mahendra Pratap Singh bagged 52974 votes

कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने अमेठी से नामांकन भर दिया है. इसके बाद राहुल ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत में राफेल डील को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर पीएम मोदी पर जमकर हमला बोला. राहुल ने कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी मान लिया है कि चौकीदार ने चोरी करवाई है. इसलिए मैं पीएम मोदी को एक बार फिर इस मामले पर खुली बहस की चुनौती देता हूं. वह जहां चाहें जब चाहें मुझसे बहस कर सकते हैं.

रोड शो खत्म करने के बाद राहुल गांधी कलेक्ट्रेट के दफ्तर पहुंच गए हैं. राहुल गांधी यहां मां सोनिया गांधी और बहन प्रियंका गांधी की मौजूदगी में नामांकन करेंगे. कलेक्ट्रेट के बाहर भारी संख्या में लोग जमा हैं.

सोनिया गांधी स्वास्थ्य कारणों से राहुल गांधी के साथ रथ पर सवार नहीं हैं.वह अपनी गाड़ी में बैठकर सीधे कलेक्ट्रेट दफ्तर पहुंची हैं. वह यहां राहुल गांधी के पहुंचने का इंतजार कर रही हैं.

अमेठी में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी का रोड शो शुरु हो गया है. रोड शो में राहुल के साथ उनके जीजा रॉबर्ट वाड्रा और कांग्रेस महासचिव प्रियंका गांधी और उनके बच्चे भी मौजूद है. हालांकि रोड शो में सोनिया गांधी शामिल नहीं हुईं हैं.रोड शो के दौरान काफी भीड़ देखने को मिल रही है.
