Korba: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr. Banshilal Mahto from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 4265 votes. The polling / voting in Korba constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Jyotinand Dubey and Congress Party#s Smt. Jyotsna mahant

Korba 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 10 out of the 11 parliamentary seat with 48.7 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 1 seats with a 38.4 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Korba Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 74.16% Lok Sabha percent with 75.23% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 73.03% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 8570 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 24 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Korba, 22 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dr. Banshilal Mahto of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Charan Das Mahant by a margin of 4265 votes.

Of the 17,74,299 students who registered for the CBSE Class 10 2019 exams, 17,61,078 appeared and 16,04,428 passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 91.10 percent, reported news agency PTI.

According to PTI, which published the final list of rankers in the CBSE Class 10 examination, 59 students shared the third rnak in the all-India examination, the result for which were declared on Monday.

Girls left behind the boys by 2.31 per cent with a total of 92.45 per cent girls passing in the exams against 90.14 per cent students. However, it was the transgender students who showed highest pass percentage of 94.74 per cent - which is not only better than both girls and boys but also better than their own result of 83.33 per cent last year.
