UGC NET June 2024 Registration Process To Start Next Week: UGC Chairman

UGC NET June 2024 Registration: Interested candidates can apply online at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency will start the UGC NET registration process next week. University Grants Commission Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has informed that the UGC NET 2024 registration for the June session will begin next week. Once the notification is released, candidates will be able to register for the NET exam on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The UGC chairman on X said, “NTA is working on launching the NET application process for the June 2024 session sometime next week.” The update came while announcing the decision allowing all higher educational institutions (HEIs) to use UGC NET score for admission to PhD programmes for the academic session 2024-25 instead of holding different entrance tests.”

The UGC NET Exam is held twice a year in June and December. This examination aims to assess the eligibility of candidates for assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam will be conducted for 83 subjects.

Eligibility for assistant professorship and JRF is determined based on the aggregate score obtained by candidates in paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates who qualify solely for assistant professorship are not eligible for the JRF award.
