TNPSC Research Assistant Recruitment 2019: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is inviting online applications for the post of Research Assistant in the Institute of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Ranipet. A total of 26 vacancies of Research Assistants have been notified at Ranipet, under the Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Service. The online registration has begun and the last date to apply online for the same is Wednesday, 29th May 2019. The last date to pay application fee through State Bank of India or Indian Bank is 31st May 2019. The written exam for the post of Research Assistant is scheduled to be conducted on 30th June, 2019 in two sessions. In the first session, Paper-I based on Subject paper (Post Graduate Degree standard) will be conducted from 10.00 A.M. to 01.00 P.M. In the second session, Paper-II based on General studies (Degree standard) will be conducted from 02.30 P.M. to 04.30 P.M. Vacancy Details: Research Assistant (Post Code No.1694) – 26 vacancies (2012-2013 to 2016-2017) Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must have passed M.V.Sc. in (Micro-biology, Pathology, Parasitology, Dairy Micro-Biology and Animal Biotechnology) from a recognized university. Also, applicant must have passed Tamil as one of the languages in Higher Secondary Public Examination or any other equivalent examination (as on 30th April 2019). It is to be noted that the applicant must be a Registered Veterinary Practitioner within the meaning of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984). Note: The selected applicants also need to present a certificate of physical fitness as per the forms given below: Standard of vision – Form of certificate of physical fitness Standard-III or better – Form prescribed for Executive posts Age Limit: No maximum age limit is set by the TNPSC for applicants belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/ DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes. For applicants of other categories, maximum age limit is capped at 30 years (as on 1 st July 2019). Pay Scale: The selected candidates will be recruited at a pay scale of Rs.55,500 – 1,75,700/-(Level 21) according to the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules, 2017.
