My Father Kept Motivating Me Says Pradeep Singh UPSC Topper; Know How He Made It To The Top

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services exam 2019 on Tuesday. This year Pradeep Singh from Sonipat Haryana, topped the exams. Here's how managed to secure the first rank.

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services exam 2019 on Tuesday. This year 29-year-old Pradeep Singh from Sonipat, Haryana topped the exams. His success comes after a lot of hard work. Last year in the UPSC 2018 results, he secured got 260th rank. He was able to make it to the top in his fourth attempt. "I did not expect that I would get first rank. It is like a dream come true. It is a pleasant surprise for me. I always wanted to be an IAS officer," said Singh in a report by PTI. He remained focussed on his work and said that it was his family especially his father who works as a farmer kept him motivated. "I have opted for my home state Haryana as the preferred cadre state for the IAS. I am happy that I will now get the chance to work for my state, said Singh. The report said that Singh, a 2019-batch Indian Revenue Service (customs and central excise) officer, is undergoing probation at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) in Faridabad. As an IAS officer, he wants to work for the deprived sections of society, improving education and farm sectors. She also holds the first rank among female candidates. Other candidates who cracked the UPSC exams include 23-year-old Nadia Beigh, from  Kupwara who is an Economics (Honours) graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She has become the youngest IAS officer in India. Sixteen aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir have also cracked the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil service exam-2019. The commission has released the provisional appointment list for the qualified candidates on Tuesday afternoon at upsc.gov.in. The list of toppers has been shared here. The list has been released on the basis of the written examination and personality test of the Civil services examination 2019. As many as  829 candidates have been recommended for appointment.
