NTA Extends Application Form Deadlines Again For JNUEE, UGC NET, CSIR And More

Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to extend the deadlines for online application forms of several exams for the third time.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to extend the deadlines for the third time, in view of the COVID-19 crisis. Application dates have been revised for JNUEE 2020, UGC NET 2020, IGNOU Ph.D, OPENMAT 2020, and others, and the last date for the online application form has extended to June 30, 2020. ALSO READ | Maharashtra: Senior Classes To Begin From July 1 In Schools Outside Covid Containment Zone Areas In a tweet, Minister of Human Resource Development, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank wrote that after getting requests from the students he advised @DG_NTA to further extend the last dates of submission of Online Application Forms for various exams. The extended deadline for the application will be applicable to:
  • Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE 2020)
  • University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2020)
  • Indira Gandhi National Open University PhD and OPENMAT (IGNOU OPENMAT 2020)
  • Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination Admission (ICAR AIEEA 2020
  • The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research UGC NET (CSIR UGC NET 2020)
  • All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET 2020)
In the notice, it also said that the application will be accepted till 05:00 PM on June 30, 2020, and the requisite fee can be paid Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PayTM till 11:50 PM on June 302020. The NTA also advised students and parents to keep checking the websites for any updates. This is the third time the NTA has extended the deadlines, the late date was selected to be June 15, 2020, but since students and concerned parents request the deadline was extended again.
