NET 2024 Exam To Be Held From June 10 To 21: UGC Chairman

UGC Chairman has announced the dates of the UGC NET 2024-25 Exam.

UGC Chairman Announces UG CNET 2024 Exam Dates

UGC Chairman  M Jagadesh Kumar has announced the UGC NET 2024-25 will be conducted from June 10 to June 21 next year. The UGC Chief announced the UGC NET 2024 Exam Dates 2024 through a post on X (formerly Twitter). Announcing the dates of the NET (National Eligibility Test) 2024, the UGC Chairman also mentioned that the UGC NET 2024 Results shall be published within three weeks of the last test of the exam. In his post, he further underlined that the UGC NET 2024 Exam will be held in the online CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, as the UGC NET 2023 Exam. 

"For the Academic year 2024-25, UGC-NET will be conducted by NTA from 10th June - 21 June 2024. Results will be announced within three weeks of last test," reads a post from M Jagadesh Kumar on X. 

While the dates of the UGC NET 2024 Exam have been announced, the NTA is likely to release the detailed timetable and subject-wise schedule of the exam, later down the year. However, in terms of the overall exam pattern, the UGC NET 2024 Exam is expected to be similar to the UGC NET 2023 Exam conducted recently. 

Notably, the UGC NET is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the University Grants Commission to determine the eligibility of candidates for assistant professorship and junior research fellowships. Candidates who clear the UGC NET 2023 Exam would be eligible for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowships, besides several other teaching and research jobs. The UGC NET Score is valid for a period of three years from the date of issuing. 

Dates Of Exams Like JEE Mains, NEET, and CUET 2024 Also Announced

Besides the UG CNET, the UGC Chairman also announced the dates for other key national-level exams 2024. As announced, the CUET-UG 2024 Exam will be held from May 15 to 31, and the CUET-PG 2024 Exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. The JEE Main Session-1 Exam 2024 will be conducted from January 24 to February 1, 2024. Medical aspirants may further note that the NEET-UG 2024 has been scheduled to be held on May 5, 2024.
