NEET PG 2019 Cut-Off reduced by 6 percentile, down to 44 for General, 39 for PwD & 34 for SC/ST/OBC

NEET 2019: The Health Ministry, in consultation with the Board of Governors in the Medical Council of India (MCI), has decided to reduce the qualifying marks for NEET-PG for 2019-20 by six percentile.

NEET PG 2019 Cut-Off: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government in consultation with the Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to lower the cut-off marks by 6 percentile for NEET PG 2019 for the year 2019-20. The National Board of Examination (NBE) had organized National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions to Post Graduate (PG) courses on Sunday, 6^th January 2019, earlier this year. The result of the same was declared on 31^st January 2019, while Score Cards were released on 6^th February 2019. The NBE had also announced the cut off marks for NEET PG 2019 admissions, as per which, the minimum cut off marks for General category candidates was originally set at 340, 317 for General (PH) and 295 for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. In terms of percentile General category candidates needed minimum 50^th percentile, General (PH) 45^th percentile while SC/ST/OBC category candidates needed 40^th percentile to be eligible for NEET PG Admissions 2019. With the latest decision taken by the government, the cut-off for the year 2019-20 comes down to 44^th percentile for General category candidates, 39^th percentile for Persons with Disabilities category, and 34^th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The Ministry has directed all states and union territories of India to consider the revision in cut-off marks while conducting further rounds of counselling for seat allotment. “All States/UTs are requested to make necessary arrangements for allowing students as per revised qualifying marks in any further rounds of counselling this year.
