RBI Assistant 2023 Notification Released, Apply Online For 450 Posts

RBI Assistant 2023 Recruitment: Interested candidates can apply online on the official website at opportunities.rbi.org.in.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistants for the year 2023. The application process has commenced and candidates can apply online on the official website at opportunities.rbi.org.in. Interested candidates are eligible to submit their applications until October 4. Through this recruitment drive, the RBI has set a target to fill a total of 450 Assistant vacancies. The online preliminary test for RBI Assistant 2023 is scheduled to be held on October 21 and 23, while the main exam is likely to take place on December 2.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for applying to these vacancies include:

  • Candidates who are citizens of India.
  • Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962.
  • Individuals of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India, can also apply. However, in the case of such candidates, an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India is required.

Age Limit

  • Applicants must be at least 20 years old and not more than 28 years old as of September 1, meaning candidates born between September 2, 1995, and September 1, 2003 (inclusive) are eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable to reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate. This degree must be obtained by September 1, 2023.
  • For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, there is no minimum marks requirement, but they should have a bachelor's degree in pass class.
  • Ex-servicemen must have at least a graduation degree or matriculation or its equivalent examination along with a minimum of 15 years of defense service.

Additionally, candidates applying for a post in a specific recruiting office must be proficient in the language of that state, which includes the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language.

Selection Process

The selection process for RBI Assistant 2023 involves three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: Candidates must first clear the preliminary examination.
  2. Main Examination: After passing the preliminary exam, candidates will appear for the main examination.
  3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Successful candidates from the main examination will be required to undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) to demonstrate their proficiency in the language of the state/union territory where they have applied for a post.
