GATE 2021 IIT Bombay To Conduct Exams From February 5 Check Revised Subjects Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the dates for conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 exam. As per the announcement, the GATE 2021 exam for postgraduate admissions will begin from February 5, 2021, and end on February 14, 2021. Therefore, the competitive exams will be held on the following dates – February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14. The exams scheduled for nest year will be conducted in two shifts. The forenoon shift will begin from 9:30-12:30 am. The afternoon shift will begin from 2:30-5:30 pm. GATE 2021 Revised Subjects:  Beside the extended dates for the GATE 2021 exams, the authorities have brought in few other changes. As per the reports, students from humanities background will also be allowed to take the GATE exam as the institute has introduced two new subjects this year which includes Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XS). As per the latest development, the students in the third will be eligible for attempting GATE next year as the institute has relaxed the criteria from the minimum 10+2+4 (ongoing) to minimum 10+2+3 (ongoing). This enables the undergraduate third year students to appear for the examination providing them an additional opportunity to improve their performance to secure better career options.
