Delhi: Class 8 Student Beaten, Stick Inserted In His Private Part. Classmates Held

A student was beaten and brutally assaulted by his classmates after getting into a fight at a school in East Delhi.

A class 8 student was beaten and a wooden stick was inserted into his private parts allegedly by his classmate in a private school in east Delhi. The incident occurred on April 2, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta, as per PTI. 

The student allegedly got into a fight over thumping the table during class. According to the news agency, the students indulged in a scuffle, which was initially pacified when a class teacher intervened. However, during investigations, it was found that the students fought again which is when the victim was assaulted by the classmate allegedly.

While speaking to the police, the 14-year-old said that one of his classmates who was wearing a mask, beat him up and then inserted a wooden stick in his private parts. The juvenile offender also threatened him with dire consequences if he told anyone about the assault, Gupta told PTI. 

However, the victim’s family suspects the involvement of more students in the assault. Family and relatives protested outside the school on April 3, demanding action, following the harrowing incident.

As per the investigations, the family members have alleged that more students were involved in the assault, a police officer to PTI.

Doctors who checked the victim told the police that a foreign object had been inserted inside the posterior of the boy leading to injuries. He is under observation and is recovering, Gupta told ANI.

The victim has been counselled and legal action has been initiated. The accused has been apprehended and reported to the Juvenile Justice Board.

A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 377 (unnatural offences), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
