2 Dead, 13 Rescued After Fire Breaks Out At Senior Citizen Care Home In Delhi's Greater Kailash
13 people including senior citizens and their attendants have been rescued from the building, said Delhi Commissioner of Police (South Delhi), Chandan Chowdhary.
New Delhi: Two people were killed while six were injured after a fire broke out in a senior citizen care home in the Greater Kailash-II area of the national capital early Sunday, reported news agency ANI. As per the report quoting officials as saying, both victims were already dead by the time the fire was extinguished adding that six people were evacuated from the E Block building.
A phone call reporting the fire was made around 5:15 am and four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, the officials said.
A team each from the fire brigade and police immediately reached the spot and started the relief and rescue exercise, officials said.
"The fire was completely controlled around 7 am," officials added. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.

“Two died, 13 people have been evacuated safely out of which one is in critical condition and has been admitted to Max Hospital. Among those rescued are senior citizens and their attendants.”
"We are checking the validity (NOC of care home). The cause of the fire is being ascertained," she added.
