Haryana Special Police Officer Killed In Faridabad, FIR Registered
According to authorities, Lal was a native of Ratta Khera village in Sirsa district.
An unidentified attacker bludgeoned to death a Faridabad police SPO in the Surajkund area on Wednesday, authorities said, news agency PTI reported. The incident was discovered after a tea vendor discovered Special Police Officer Mohan Lal (42), lying in a pool of blood beside a police picket on Tuesday night and told Constable Om Singh, who was on duty with the victim.
According to authorities, Lal was a native of Ratta Khera village in Sirsa district.

Lal went to the police picket at 8:15 p.m., according to a complaint filed by Singh.
After about an hour, the tea vendor informed Singh that the SPO was bleeding from the head and laying near the police picket.
According to authorities, Singh went to the scene and carried Lal to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
During the inquiry, numerous merchants informed authorities that a child was observed strolling around the neighbourhood with an interlock tile in his hand, and that he may have assaulted Lal, PTI reported.

According to authorities, the child approached the police picket about 8:20 p.m. and began harassing Lal, who had requested him to leave.
On the basis of Singh's allegation, a FIR was filed at Surajkund police station on Wednesday under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.

The family of the SPO has been notified. According to investigating official Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarjeet, CCTV video is being reviewed to identify the culprit.
