Nuh: Wanted Criminal Linked To 2012 Murder Of Delhi Police Personnel Arrested After Encounter
According to the police official, the accused, identified as Shakir alias Janu, was injured in an exchange of fire during his arrest.
In a coordinated operation involving the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Haryana Police, a man wanted in numerous criminal cases was apprehended from Nuh after a brief exchange of gunfire during the early hours of Tuesday, officials disclosed, as reported by news agency PTI. The apprehended individual, identified as Shakir alias Janu, sustained injuries during the altercation, as indicated by an officer, who mentioned that he sustained a gunshot wound in his leg.
According to the police, he was travelling on a motorbike when a joint team of Delhi and Haryana police stopped him. The officer further elaborated that Janu was allegedly implicated in the homicide of a Delhi Police head constable and was involved in firing incidents at the residence of a Haryana legislator.
