South Delhi To Face 10-Hour Water Outage Today. Check List Of Affected Areas

South Delhi residents in Green Park, Safdarjung Enclave, and other areas will experience a 12-hour water outage from 10 am to 10 pm on September 18.

Residents of several South Delhi localities may face inconvenience on Wednesday (September 18) as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will stop the water supply in some areas for 12 hours starting from 10 am. In a statement, DJB said the water cuts were being done due to planned maintenance work in the area. 

The interruption in water supply will affect areas including Green Park, Safdarjung Enclave, SDA, Haus Khas, Munirka, Kishangarh, Masjid Mod, Part of Mehrauli, IIT, INU, AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, and adjoining areas of Deer Park.

"Due to the installation of a 500 mm dia flowmeter at the outlet of Deer Park BPS feeding to DDA flats Munirka, water supply from the 600 mm outlet line of Deer Park BPS will be stopped for 12 hours on September 18 from 10 am to 10 pm," DJB said in a statement.

"As a result, the water supply will also be disrupted in these areas on the morning of September 19," it added.

For those who may need it, water tankers will be made available on demand from the DJB helpline or the central control room, the Jal Board said, adding that the inconvenience to the public is regretted. The residents were also advised to use water judiciously, as  Inconvenience to the public is regretted.
