Section 163 BNSS Imposed In Ghaziabad, Multiple Areas Declared Temporary Red Zones

Ghaziabad police impose restrictions on drones, flying objects, and photography due to security concerns amid India-Pakistan border tensions.

In light of the ongoing border tensions between India and Pakistan, Ghaziabad Police have issued a public notice regarding security concerns. According to the information provided by the police, there is an imminent threat posed by various elements, including militants, terrorists, and anti-social elements who might use drones, paragliders, hot air balloons, and other flying objects to create disturbances. To mitigate these risks, the police have decided to enforce strict measures on the use of such flying objects in the region.

Given the serious nature of the law and order situation, the Ghaziabad Commissionerate has implemented Section 163 BNS, imposing restrictions on the use of drones and other aerial objects in the affected areas. The police have declared several key areas as 'No Drone Zones' and 'Temporary Red Zones.' These include police station limits such as Kotwali, Kavi Nagar, Link Road, Sahibabad, Teela Mod, Tronica City, Loni, Muradnagar, and Modinagar.

Additionally, the police have stressed that no photography will be allowed in any government office or public places without prior permission from the police authorities. This is a precautionary measure to prevent any security lapses and to ensure the safety of the citizens and government properties.

Apart from this Gujarat CM Office also announced blackout on the bordering areas of the state. He posted on X that, “As a precautionary measure, a blackout has been imposed in the villages of bordering Santalpur taluka in Patan district. All the citizens are advised to stay away from rumours and follow the instructions issued by administration from time to time.”

IThe border areas of Rajasthan were also witnessed drone attacks from Pakistan. In response to recent attacks from Pakistan, the Barmer district administration has issued strict guidelines aimed at ensuring public safety and security. As part of these measures, all markets in the district will be closed from 5 PM today. Furthermore, a complete citywide blackout will be enforced from 6 PM to 6 AM, during which all lights in homes and commercial establishments must remain off. Additionally, there will be a ban on vehicle movement during this period, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers.

A 5-kilometer radius around defense areas has been declared a restricted zone, with unauthorized persons facing strict action if found within this area. The operation of drones has been completely prohibited throughout the district, and the use of fireworks and firecrackers is also banned.
