15-Year-Old Boy 'Slits' Throat Of Classmate After Quarrel At Pune School
The police have detained the 14-year-old accused on charges of attempted murder under Sections 109, and 351 (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
A Class 9 student from an international school in Pune, Maharashtra allegedly attacked his classmate by slitting his throat after a minor argument over organising the Annual Day function. The 15-year-old victim student filed an FIR at the local police station on Wednesday.
According to a report by Indian Express, the police have detained the 14-year-old accused on charges of attempted murder under Sections 109, and 351 (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The police explained that the accused boy in a fit of anger reportedly attacked the complainant boy inside a classroom from behind and slit his throat with a piece of glass around 2.30 pm on Tuesday leaving him injured. In addition, the accused was also allegedly threatened to kill the complainant.

Teachers and school staff quickly rushed the injured student to a hospital. Later, a team, led by senior police inspector Santosh Pandhare paid his visit to the crime scene. The accused was presented before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and subsequently sent to an observation home as per JJB's directions.
Police revealed that no teacher was present in the classroom at the time, as the Annual Day preparations were underway elsewhere on the school premises. Assistant police inspector Ketaki Chavan stated that the victim's condition is stable, while investigation officer Umesh Rokade confirmed that further inquiries are ongoing.
Delhi Woman Slits Throat Of Her 9-Day-Old Baby
In a separate incident, a 22-year-old woman in the Mundka area of outer Delhi slit the throat of her nine-day-old baby because she did not want the child, police reported on Saturday (July 27). The incident came to light on Thursday when a man, Govinda, reported to police stating that his wife had slit the throat of their daughter.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram stated that a team was dispatched to the couple's residence in Baba Haridas Colony, Tikri of Mundka. Upon arrival, the team discovered the dead infant in a room on the second floor, while the mother was in a different room.
"During sustained interrogation, the woman disclosed that she didn't want to have a girl child that's why she killed her," Chiram said, news agency PTI reported.
