The incident came to light when his roommates broke the door to enter into the room after he did not respond to their repeated calls or open the door. The reason behind his drastic step remains unknown.

The victim, Vansh Gaint, was found dead in his hostel room, with investigators and authorities still unsure of the reason behind his extreme step. An investigation was launched after the police registered a case of accidental death, Times Of India reported.
The incident came to light when fellow students discovered Vansh on the floor of his dorm room at around noon on Tuesday. His roommates had broken the door to enter into the room after he did not respond to repeated calls or open the door. He was allegedly found hanging from the latch and was found on the floor when the door of the room was opened, the report said.

Probe On To Ascertain Reason Behind Student's Death
After the student was found in the room, the in-house medical team was rushed in, following which Vansh was taken to a private hospital near Bhat for treatment. He was declared dead after around 45 minutes of admission, university authorities said.
The victim's family reached the hospital by evening.
Calling the incident "unfortunate", university registrar Dr Nitin Malik, said: "Our prayers are with the family. The family was apprised of the situation and assured of all possible help in the probe.
"As they wanted a full forensic investigation, the mortal remains were sent to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. After due procedure, the family will fly the mortal remains to their native place for last rites," he said, as reported by TOI.
Malik said that no primary reason for student's death has been ascertained and that the authorities have extended psychological help to his classmates and other students.
"During primary talks, students termed Vansh as an energetic and helpful student associated with various activities. Many saw him going about his routine on Tuesday," he added.
V R Kher, inspector of Infocity police station, said that he had spoken to his family to ascertain the possible reason behind the student's drastic step and that the statements of his family and other students will also be recorded.
