Reacting to the update, one of the users said that the order count touched 13 lakh yesterday. “It was about 13 lacs yesterday at eod. Mind blowing adoption. India is literally feeding itself off zomato,” a user named @kaegie wrote.
Another user, @Tejas_K87, said, “So around 1 cr orders in a weekday and 1.5 cr for the entire week. That is impressive. Considering Swiggy and other food delivery apps have more or less similar orders 50 lakh orders are placed daily on food delivery apps.”
Some users on the other hand questioned the utility of the feature. One of the users even suggested introducing a feature to check whether the delivery partner has received tips or not.
Another user called for introducing an incentive for the customers on milestone order numbers such as 100k, 200k, and so forth.
