TCS CEO Krithivasan Earned Rs 26.52 Crore In FY25; R&D Spending Sees Dip

Chief Financial Officer Samir Seksaria saw a 7.8 per cent increase in his overall compensation during the year

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), took home a total remuneration of Rs 26.52 crore in FY25, according to the company’s annual report released on Tuesday. This marks a 4.6 per cent increase from the previous fiscal year.

Krithivasan’s compensation package included a basic salary of Rs 1.39 crore, Rs 2.13 crore in benefits, perquisites, and allowances, and Rs 23 crore as commission. His total pay stood at nearly 330 times the median salary of TCS’s 6.07 lakh employees.

Chief Financial Officer Samir Seksaria saw a 7.8 per cent increase in his overall compensation during the year.

The company reported that employee salary hikes, including promotions, ranged from 5.5 per cent to 7.5 per cent on average. Notably, around 1.1 lakh employees were promoted during the fiscal. Top performers in India received double-digit percentage hikes, TCS said.

Newly appointed President and Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian will receive a monthly salary of Rs 10.8 lakh, the report noted.

Despite rapid shifts in the technology landscape, TCS scaled back its research and development (R&D) investment. R&D and innovation spending fell to Rs 2,630 crore in FY25 from Rs 2,751 crore in FY24. As a share of total revenue, R&D spend declined to 1 per cent from 1.1 per cent year-on-year.

Commenting on the macroeconomic outlook, TCS said the global economy continues to face challenges due to geopolitical tensions and policy uncertainties. However, the company remains cautiously optimistic.

“Clearer trade agreements and improved global cooperation could help regain momentum. However, risks like financial market volatility, demographic shifts, and fiscal constraints persist. Proactive policy responses and innovation-driven growth can help mitigate these pressures,” the company stated.

On workforce demographics, TCS said women made up 35 per cent (2.14 lakh) of its total employee base. The company also disclosed receiving 125 cases of sexual harassment in FY25, up from 110 the previous year. Of these, 23 cases were pending resolution as of March-end.
