Ruchi Soya Announces Dividend At Rs 5 Per Share For FY22, Posts Strong Q4 Results

Ruchi Soya has shown impressive revenue growth of 48.22 per cent in FY 2022, which jumped to Rs 24284.38 crore as compared to Rs. 16382.97 crore in the previous year 2021.

New Delhi: Consumer goods company Ruchi Soya, owned by Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda, has announced a dividend of 250 per cent on Friday after posting a strong and sustainable performance in its maiden post listing fiscal 2022. The company announced a dividend of Rs 5 per share for shareholders, which is considered to be the highest amongst its peers, claimed the company in a release. In past, the company paid the highest dividend of 25 per cent in 2008.

The company has shown impressive revenue growth of 48.22 per cent in FY 2022, which jumped to Rs 24284.38 crore as compared to Rs. 16382.97 crore in the previous year 2021, as per the company release.

Under segmental revenue performance, the company generated major revenue from the oil business. Other segments including biscuits, breakfast cereals and nutraceuticals also showed a quantum jump of 209 per cent as the revenue improved to Rs 1979.48 crore against Rs. 640.51 crore in the previous FY 2021.

The company's EBIDTA surges to Rs 1565.98 crore in FY 22 as compared to Rs 1018.36 crore in the previous year ended March 2021. Operating margins remained higher at 6.45 per cent as compared to 6.22 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) basis. Net profits during the last FY22 have shown significant growth of 18.64 per cent against the net profit in the previous year.

In Q4 2022, the company's income has increased 37.38 per cent (y-o-y) as compared to Q4 2021 and has also grown by 5.95 per cent QoQ over the previous quarter Q3 2022.  The EBIDTA has increased by 54.68 per cent (y-o-y) to Rs. 418.54 crore as compared to Rs. 270.59 crore in the previous year Q4 2021 and PBT has almost doubled at 99.84 per cent from Rs. 295.69 crore in Q4 2022 to Rs.147.96 crore in the previous year Q4 2021. The EBIDTA margins have also stood strong at 6.27 per cent in Q4 2022.

Ruchi Soya’s brand portfolio of brands like Ruchi Gold, Mahakosh, Sunrich, Nutrela, Ruchi Star and Ruchi Sunlight continues to witness tremendous response.  The company is also engaged in renewable wind energy business out of which 19 per cent is used for captive consumption. 

Ruchi Soya, which was acquired by the Patanjali group in 2019 for Rs 4,350 crore through an insolvency process, had a revenue of nearly Rs 16,400 crore in FY21.
