Porsche India Clocks Record Sales With 914 Units In 2023

German luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche India reported its best retail sales with 914 units in 2023 on Tuesday. This records a 17 per cent growth by the company compared to the previous year. The company also fulfilled its commitment to an electric future by recording the highest number of 113 Taycan deliveries to date, Porsche India said in a statement.
Besides this, a record 65 units of the iconic 911 model were delivered in the same period, it added.
On this achievement, Porsche India’s Brand Director, Manolito Vujicic, said, “2023 was another strong year for Porsche India where sales of every model played a significant factor in our encouraging result. It sets a good benchmark for 2024, which will see several new products being launched, as well as further expansion to our retail network as part of our unwavering dedication to providing the best possible customer experience.”
The company added that the carmaker will open new showrooms in Pune and Hyderabad in the first half of the year as part of the firm’s continuing network expansion. Last year, the luxury car brand inaugurated five facilities in just five days, which includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai, boosting its total network to 8 facilities.
Furthermore, Porsche India organised a distinctive overnight Cayenne Drive Experience, inviting regional and international media and customers. They also achieved new lap records for both a production car and an EV at the Buddh International Circuit. Additionally, Porsche India hosted 45 customers at the Porsche Ice Experience in Levin, Finland, with plans to replicate the adventure for more customers in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Toyota Motor left all other automakers behind in the sale of passenger vehicles in 2023 and recorded a whopping 11.2 billion sales, surpassing Volkswagen AG to secure its position as the world's leading carmaker for the fourth consecutive year, the carmaker announced on Tuesday.
