PM Kisan 13th Instalment: Eligible Farmers Must Complete e-KYC Verification Before This Deadline

The Agriculture Department of Bihar tweeted that PM Kisan beneficiaries must finish their e-KYC verification by January 28, 2023, to receive the 13th instalment

The government last year released the 12th payment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana, and farmers are eagerly expecting the release of the 13th instalment. The last instalment was released in October. In order to avail payment, beneficiaries need to complete the e-KYC verification. The Agriculture Department of Bihar tweeted that PM Kisan beneficiaries must finish their e-KYC verification by January 28, 2023, to receive the 13th instalment.

The PM Kisan website says eKYC is mandatory for beneficiaries. “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or the nearest CSC centres may be contacted for biometric-based eKYC,” the website added.

The department's tweet said, “All beneficiaries of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana have been advised that e-KYC verification is mandatory before the upcoming 13th instalment. In Bihar, around 16.74 lakh beneficiaries have not completed their e-KYC verification.”

“The DBT agriculture department has also sent SMS messages to the affected beneficiaries. Beneficiaries must complete eKYC before 28 January 2023 in order to receive the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana,” it added in the tweet.

“eKYC recipients can conduct their own Aadhaar link from the PM-Kisan portal using an OTP from their mobile number, or they can perform eKYC using biometric method from their local CSC/Vasudha centre, for which the government has set a cost of Rs15,” the department wrote.

Steps for OTP-based eKYC

  • Firstly, visit the PM Kisan website
  • Check for farmers corner and then click on eKYC tab
  • Clicking on this will take you to the next page OTP Based Ekyc where you need to enter your Aadhaar number and click on search
  • Enter the mobile number linked with Aadhaar, once the Aadhaar is displayed. You will then have to click Get OTP.
  • Then enter the 4-digit OTP received on the registered mobile number
  • Once OTP is verified and all the details match, the eKYC process will be successfully completed
  • You can also complete eKYC offline by visiting a Common Service Center (CSC) with an Aadhaar card. Request the operator and explain that you want to finalise your biometric authentication and eKYC.
