LinkedIn's Top Indian Startups 2024: Zepto Retains No 1 Spot For Second Consecutive Year

The ranking is based on data from over 1 bn LinkedIn members worldwide, evaluating startups across four key metrics: employment growth, engagement, job interest, and the ability to attract top talent

Quick commerce platform Zepto has once again secured the top spot in LinkedIn's Top Startups India List for 2024. This annual ranking highlights emerging companies that are attracting the most attention from professionals.

The ranking is based on data from over 1 billion LinkedIn members worldwide, evaluating startups across four key metrics: employment growth, engagement, job interest, and the ability to attract top talent.

Following Zepto in the 2024 list are compliance solutions firm Sprinto and cloud storage management platform Lucidity.

"This year's Top Startups list is a true reflection of India's burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem," said Nirajita Banerjee, Career Expert and Head of Editorial at LinkedIn India. "Bengaluru continues to thrive with half of the Top Startups headquartered in the city. Notably, 14 of the 20 companies featured are new entrants, with emerging sectors like biofuel, compliance, and mental health offering diverse career opportunities."

Among the notable companies on the list are e-commerce platform GoKwik, conversation intelligence firm Convin, biofuel supply chain platform BiofuelCircle, and mental health platform MindPeers.

India's startup ecosystem continues to grow, with Indian startups raising $7.5 billion in venture capital funding between January and August 2024, according to Global Data. S&P Global Market Intelligence projects that India's nominal GDP will nearly double to over $7 trillion by FY2031, positioning the country as the world’s third-largest economy by 2030.

Further solidifying India's role in the global startup scene, two of its cities — Bengaluru and Mumbai — were ranked among the top 50 startup cities globally by PitchBook.

The 2024 LinkedIn Top Startups India list is the seventh edition, showcasing companies that are not only catching the eye of investors but also leading innovation in their respective industries.
