Cryptocurrency Price Today: Ethereum Scales 8-Month High, LDO Becomes Top Gainer
Cryptocurrency price on April 5 quick take: The global market cap rose to $1.20 trillion.
Ethereum (ETH), arguably the most popular cryptocurrency after Bitcoin (BTC), managed to scale the $1,900 mark, achieving an eight-month high early Wednesday. BTC, on the other hand, managed to remain stable within the $28,000 range. Other popular altcoins — including the likes of Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), and Solana (SOL) — landed in the greens across the board. The Lido DAO (LDO) token managed to become the top gainer, with a 24-hour profit of over 15 percent.
The global crypto market cap stood at $1.20 trillion at the time of writing, registering a 24-hour gain of 1.09 percent.

Bitcoin price stood at $28,527.68, registering a 24-hour gain of 2.31 percent, as per CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchange WazirX, BTC price stood at Rs 24.40 lakh.
Ethereum (ETH) price today
ETH price stood at $1,911.36, marking a 24-hour jump of 5.66 percent at the time of writing. As per WazirX, Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 1.63 lakh.
Dogecoin (DOGE) price today
DOGE registered a 24-hour gain of 1.49 percent, as per CoinMarketCap data, currently priced at $0.09836. As per WazirX, Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 8.25.
Litecoin (LTC) price today
Litecoin saw a 24-hour gain of 1.62 percent. At the time of writing, it was trading at $93.89. LTC price in India stood at Rs 8,049.
Ripple (XRP) price today
XRP price stood at $0.5057, seeing a 24-hour jump of 2.09 percent. As per WazirX, Ripple price stood at Rs 43.

Mudrex co-founder and CEO Edul Patel told ABP Live, “Bitcoin has experienced a surge despite the larger-than-expected decline in US job vacancies on Tuesday. BTC is currently trading up nearly 3 per cent in the past day and hovering around the $28,600 mark. Meanwhile, Ethereum has reached an 8-month high, trading above the $1,900 level. ETH must maintain its current level as a support and potentially consolidate above $1,900. Nevertheless, investors must keep a close watch on the upcoming nonfarm payroll data for March, which will offer further insight into the health of the labour market.”
WazirX Vice President Rajagopal Menon said, “Amid banking uncertainties, Bitcoin traded over $28,000 as investors cautiously eyed a slight dip in the job market. Experts suggest it's at the upper end of its recent range, and traders are waiting to see its response to the banking crisis for potential benefits. On the other hand, Ether outperformed BTC and was trading above $1,900 for the first time since August last year. On WazirX, Icon (ICX) and 0x Protocol (ZRX) have been the top gainers in the last 24 hours.”
