Adani Energy Solutions Secures Rs 2,800 Crore Power Transmission Project In Gujarat
The project includes the construction of a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line that will connect the Navinal substation to the Bhuj substation

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) announced on Friday that it has been awarded a power transmission project in Gujarat, designed to support the production of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in the region. The project, valued at Rs 2,800 crore, is expected to be completed within 36 months, according to the company’s statement.
Titled "Transmission System for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing Potential in Mundra, Gujarat," the project will improve the existing infrastructure by upgrading the Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation. This upgrade will involve the installation of two large 765/400kV transformers, which will bolster the transmission capacity in the region, claims the company.
Furthermore, the project includes the construction of a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line that will connect the Navinal substation to the Bhuj substation. AESL plans to add 150 circuit kilometers (cKM) of transmission lines and expand its transformation capacity by 3,000 MVA. Once completed, AESL’s transmission network will span a total of 25,928 cKM, with a transformation capacity of 87,186 MVA.
Project Allotment
The project was awarded to AESL under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism, with PFC Consulting Limited serving as the bid process coordinator. The project’s Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was formally transferred to AESL on March 20, 2025. This marks the company’s sixth order win in the current fiscal year, bringing its total order book to Rs 57,561 crore.
