Yezdi Adventure vs Royal Enfield Himalayan - Know Price, Design & Full Comparison
The Himalayan has the bigger engine in terms of displacement but does not have as much power as the Yezdi Adventure. Read the full comparison below.
It is not a very big surprise at what bike the new Yezdi Adventure is aimed at and yes it is the Enfield Himalayan. With Yezdi being back in India, one of the major models on offer is the Adventure - which as the name says is an adventure tourer. But the Yezdi, being an iconic brand will have to fight it out with rivals including the Himalayan and others in this popular segment.
By the looks of things, the Yezdi Adventure does share a lot of the design with the Himalayan and is heavily influenced by it. Both the bikes have 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels while other design elements like the round headlamp or the upright tall windscreen further makes these bikes look nearly the same. That said, there are differences in terms of the rear design or the fuel tank- but their overall look is very close.
The Himalayan has the bigger engine in terms of displacement but does not have as much power as the Yezdi Adventure. The Himayalan has more torque and less power at 24.3 bhp/32Nm while the Yezdi has more bhp at 30.2bhp/29.9Nm. Do note that peak power also arrives earlier in the rev range for the Himalayan in comparison to the Yezdi. The Himalayan also has a 5-speed gerabox bs the 6-speed one on the Yezdi. The additional gear will make life easier but the more torque in the Himalayan makes cruising easy too.
The Yezdi is lighter but crucially both bikes have the same ground clearance at 220mm along with the suspension too. The Yezdi does have a larger front brake though along with a slightly bigger fuel tank too (15.5 vs 15l). Of course, dual-channel ABS is present on both. The Yezdi gets a full digital cluster while the Himayalan has a part one while both get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Himalayan also misses out on LED lighting present on the Yezdi.
Priced at Rs 2.09 lakh, the Adventure is cheaper than the Himalayan which is Rs 2.14 lakh. The Yezdi seems a better deal with more features but the Himalayan has proved its worth and that is why it is one of the most popular bikes of this segment. So Yezdi will have to work on having the same hold on the market as RE but on first look, their new adventure tourer might be the biggest rival to the Himalayan yet.
