The Vietnamese carmaker has been steadily working on various aspects and regarding its network, it has tied up with 3 leading dealer groups for 32 dealerships across 27 cities nationwide.

There is a lot happening at Vinfast as it gears up for launch in a few days time with pre-bookings scheduled to begin from July 15 for its VF6 and VF7. The Vietnamese carmaker has been steadily working on various aspects and regarding its network, it has tied up with 3 leading dealer groups for 32 dealerships across 27 cities nationwide.

The initial set of dealerships would be spread across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Cochin, Bhubaneshwar, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Surat, Calicut, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Shimla, Agra, Jhansi, Gwalior, Vapi, Baroda and Goa. Each facility will have showrooms, service workshops, and spare parts availability while Vinfast recently also tied up with Global Assure for 24/7 roadside assistance myTVS and RoadGrid for a pan-India EV Charging solution and service network plus more. The VF6 and VF7 have also been displayed at various malls too.

Speaking to their CEO Mr. Pham Sanh Chau sometime back during our visit to their factory in Vietnam to drive their cars, he revealed that Vinfast has come to India with a clear strategy to establish a factory first rather than bring CBU cars and test the market.

Vinfast will also bring its other Vingroup services to India too including building an ecosystem. Its first cars have specifically targeted the premium SUV space which is the VF6 and VF7 while next year we can expect other products like the VF3 too. For India, their facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu would be inaugurated soon as well with plans to establish 35 Dealerships across India by the end of CY 2025.

The VF6 would be expected to be its volume seller targeting compact SUVs in the EV space like the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta electric and Tata Curvv. The bigger and more powerful VF7 would be positioned higher.

During our visit we saw the plant, drove the cars briefly and liked the styling as well as the space on offer while it remains to be seen how Vinfast will price its products in this competitive market.
