Upcoming Electric SUVs: Tata Nexon EV Vs MG ZS Facelift — Features & Specifications
With the bigger battery pack, the Nexon EV will now get to a minimum 300km range in the real world plus will also increase its power/reduce charge times.
Currently, the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV are some of the most popular cars but soon both of these two EVs are coming in a new avatar. Both the Nexon and the ZS EV will get facelifts which means a bigger battery, more range, and features. In the case of the Nexon EV, the updated version will get a bigger 40 kWh battery pack and that will increase the claimed range to 400km plus. Currently, the Nexon EV has a claimed range of 312km while the actual real-world range is smaller than that around 200km plus range.
With the bigger battery pack, the Nexon EV will now get to a minimum 300km range in the real world plus will also increase its power/reduce charge times. We will also see updates with the Nexon EV with all-around disc brakes and more features.
The MG ZS EV will be coming in its new form and that means a new look and a more luxurious interior. The current ZS EV is based on the older version of the MG Astor but the new ZS adds in a much more modern interior, a new digital instrument cluster, and many more features. Crucially, the new ZS will have a larger 51 kWh battery pack which will further increase the range to near 500km or just below that.
That is more than the current official range of the older ZS with the 44.5 kWh battery. The design of the ZS would also be changed with a new look including new front/rear bumpers etc. The bigger battery will increase the gap and make the ZS more premium over the Nexon EV along with leaving a gap for the new affordable MG SUV coming later this year.
