Safety is now being talked about in a big way but beneath the 5 star scores, which models outperform the rest? While cars may get 5 stars, the scores might vary a bit. Here we take a look at the crash test safety scores of the Harrier EV and XEV 9e plus the Innova Hycross. All three cars have scored a perfect 5 star. In the scores department however, the Innova Hycross did 30.47 points out of 32 in adult occupant protection while both the XEV as well as the Hycross scored a perfect 32.

 

Then looking at child occupant protection and here the Innova Hycross scored 45 out of 49 points. Looking at the Harrier EV and XEV 9e, the same can be said at 45 out of 49 points. All three cars are well equipped with 6 airbags as standard while you also get ADAS in all of them. The XEV and the Harrier EV though have more safety features when compared to the Innova Hycross.

 

While in child occupant protection, Innova Hycross has matched its rivals, the XEV and the Harrier EV march ahead in the adult occupant protection scores. It must be noted that the Innova has done pretty well and it is the first hybrid molde being tested by BNCAP while just falling short of the XEV and the Harrier EV. Another thing should be noted that while many cars get a perfect 5 star, the score might vary a bit which further shows which car edges ahead in terms of the safety that it offers.
