This Tata Car Becomes Country's Best Selling Compact SUV, Beat Maruti's Vitara Brezza

Nexon EV has become the country's best selling electric car. The company sold 1022 units of this EV in August. This was the first time that an EV has sold more than a thousand units a month.

Tata Nexon made bumper sales last month i.e. September 2021. This month it became the best selling compact SUV car. This month, the company dispatched a total of 9211 units. Nexon has registered a growth of 53.34 per cent year-on-year. With this, its market share has gone up to 27.66 per cent. Nexon has surpassed Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Brezza has moved up to number seven in the list of best-selling cars. 

Decline in production 
Last month, 1847 units of Maruti Vitara Brezza were dispatched, which is much lower in terms of sales. The company has attributed this to a shortage of semiconductors due to a shortage of products. Maruti's production has declined by 60 per cent due to a decline in production. 

Tata Nexon EV on heavy sale  
Nexon EV has become the country's best selling electric car. The company had sold 1022 units of this EV in August. This was the first time that an EV has sold more than a thousand units a month. Coming to the price, the Tata Nexon EV is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh. And its top-end variant is priced at Rs 16.85 lakh. 

MG sales up
MG Motor India said its retail sales rose 28 per cent to 3,241 units in September 2021 despite disruptions in manufacturing due to a lack of semiconductors. MG Motor India said in a statement that the company had sold 2,537 units in the same month last year.
