Sierra EV To Launch In 2025 As Tata Motors' Most Premium Offering

Set to arrive in electric form by 2025, the Sierra will be the most ambitious product from Tata Motors.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Sierra in 2025, marking its foray into the luxury segment above its existing SUV lineup. The new Sierra brings back a much loved car but in a new avatar with five doors.

Set to arrive in electric form by 2025, it will be the most ambitious product from Tata Motors. The design is already a hit going by the reaction at the Auto Expo. What was shown at the 2023 Auto Expo was closer to concept and it will also have a large lounge-like cabin with a focus on space plus comfort. 

The design is also futuristic and features a distinct boxy silhouette. However, some design cues will be similar to the original Sierra. The upright stance brings in more space on the inside and brings in a butch too to the car as well. This is also going to be one of the biggest cars that Tata will make along with the Safari. 

The top-end version will get individual seats with tables, rear entertainment screens and more -- similar to some luxury cars. The interior will feature a massive screen and also get the new-age design cues already seen on Tata cars like the Nexon and the upcoming Curvv. 

At first, the Sierra will come in an EV form and will later get a petrol engine just like the Curvv. With cars like the Curvv, Sierra and more, Tata Motors will create a wider portfolio with more cars for the premium segment. 

The Sierra, though, will be the most expensive Tata car yet and will have shades of Land Rover along with a distinct luxury look. That said, first we will see the Curvv and then later we will see the Sierra come in around the middle of 2025.
