2023 Tata Nexon Facelift EV And Petrol: Top 3 Changes Expected

The new Nexon facelift will get a new turbo petrol powertrain which was first previewed in the Curvv petrol concept at the last Auto Expo.

Tata Motors is all set to launch a new range of SUVs with major updates including its best-selling Nexon sub 4m compact SUV. The new Nexon is scheduled for a launch around the end of August or September. The new Nexon could pass off as an entirely new product because it will get detailed changes ranging from the powertrain to the looks.

  1. New engine with a DCT gearbox

The new Nexon facelift will get a new turbo petrol powertrain which was first previewed in the Curvv petrol concept at the last Auto Expo. The new 1.2l turbo petrol is a three-cylinder unit which produces 125 bhp. This is more than the current Nexon turbo petrol while it will also get a DCT gearbox in place of an AMT along with paddle shifters.

  2. Completely new styling

While the basic shape is expected to remain the same as the current Nexon, the new Nexon will sport sleeker styling also inspired by the Curvv concept with slim LED headlamps and a new grille. There would be new tail lamps plus new alloys as well. The Nexon EV version would be different in styling too and would be shown at the same time.

  3. 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift EV And Petrol: Top 3 Changes ExpectedNew interior and features

The new Nexon will get a two-spoke steering wheel similar to the Curvv too. There would be a digital instrument cluster plus a 10.25-inch touchscreen with a new infotainment unit as seen on the latest Harrier and on the Nexon too. The centre console would be touch-based controls and a toggle switch plus features like a 360-degree camera along with other feature additions too. The new Nexon is an important product and this update will enable it to be even stronger in terms of sales for Tata Motors.
