Tata Motors Launches Dark Edition Of Nexon From Rs 11.45 Lakh, But Is It Worth The Price?

The Nexon EV Dark is around Rs 10,000 more than the standard EV Nexon while the ICE Nexon Dark comes at Rs 35,000 more than the mid level standard Nexon.

Tata Motors have launched the Dark edition of its popular Nexon and prices start from Rs 11.45 lakh while it is available on both the EV and the ICE version.

We already have had a good look at the Nexon EV Dark Edition and here, it gets various cosmetic updates. This new trim is available from the mid spec to the top-end trims and the main talking point is the all black look.

The front-end has a blacked out design theme with a black grille and bumper while the roof-rails plus alloy wheels are black too. Even the Tata logo is darker.

The EV Nexon and the ICE Nexon have some differences and they continue to be there on the Dark Edition, especially with the Nexon EV Dark having a full width lighting signature.

Inside, it is an all black affair as well with a black leatherette upholstery and gloss black trim all around. The ICE Nexon Dark comes with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, sunroof etc. The Nexon EV Dark has a larger touchscreen and some more features. Both cars feature the Capacitive Touch FATC panel too.

The ICE Nexon Dark carries forward the engine options of the standard Nexon including its petrol and diesel versions with the petrol especially having all of the gearbox options. The Nexon EV Dark on the other hand is available with the Empowered + LR trim with the larger battery pack with more range. The Nexon EV Dark is around Rs 10,000 more than the standard EV Nexon while the ICE Nexon Dark comes at Rs 35,000 more than the mid level standard Nexon.

In terms of looks, the Nexon Dark looks more appealing and the premium over the standard Nexon is also not that high, hence could be well worth it, if black colour is desired.
