Tata Curvv Petrol Or EV India Launch: Which One To Wait For?

The electric Curvv would be the most powerful electric car from Tata Motors with being the flagship version.

This year has been busy for Tata Motors with numerous launches especially with the Nexon in its new avatar and the new Harrier plus the Safari facelift. Now there is a big new product coming in with the Curvv which would be coming in a production form. That said the question is whether you should wait for the petrol Curvv or the electric version.

Tata Motors showed both the SUVs separately with the petrol Curvv being shown at the Auto Expo. The electric Curvv would be the most powerful electric car from Tata Motors with being the flagship version. That means the Curvv EV will come with a dual motor layout with AWD which implies more power. It is also expected to come with V2L feature and V2V tech as seen on newer EVs plus on the new Nexon EV.We expect the Curvv EV will come earlier at the starting of 2024 within the first half while the petrol could come in later. The Curvv petrol would come with a new 1.2 turbo petrol as seen on the concept car with paddle shifters plus a manual gearbox.

The EV would be faster and be more expensive like the Nexon. Expect styling differences on both the cars as well with the EV having more features. Recent spy shots have also confirmed that the coupe SUV styling would be kept along with the muscular wheel arches while it will keep the new design theme as also seen on the new Nexon plus Harrier/Safari.Hence, the EV Curvv will come in earlier vs the petrol version while the petrol would be cheaper of course. The coupe-like styling and the aggressive design would be talking point as it will be slotted above the Harrier plus Nexon
