Take A Look At India's New Electric Bike Oben Rorr With 200 KM Range

Not many details have been shared about this bike but we expect it to have a battery pack ranging between 8.6kWh and 9kWh.

Mumbai: This is the new Oben electric bike that will be launched on the 15th of this month. Oben is an electric 2 wheeler maker based in Bengaluru. Its first bike is called 'Rorr'. The Rorr has a top speed of 100 kmph while it goes from 0-40 km/h in 3 seconds. The range is set to be 200km. This EV bike has been developed in-house while the pricing is expected to be competitive.

Not many details have been shared about this bike but we expect it to have a battery pack ranging between 8.6kWh and 9kWh.

While the design does look sporty and represents a steer-naked motorcycle but the top speed is only limited to 100kmph which means it is more of an economical electric motorcycle with range in mind.

Not many details have been given about the features but the bike will have tech including a smartphone app that will make the bike be connected to the riders phone.

The production facility would be in Bengaluru as well. There has been more demand and choice in the electric two-wheel space with new entrants coming in and launching electric scooters and also now bikes.

The Oben Rorr will also be a new entrant and we expect the price to be around a lakh or slightly more. Details regarding charging and other things are yet to be declared.

They also plan to launch four products in the next two years. The 2 wheeler space is seeing more demand for electric bikes since petrol prices pinch the two-wheeler owner the most while more choice means people can now look at electric motorcycles too along with scooters.
