Suzuki To Develop ADAS For India And Lightweight EVs

Suzuki will develop ADAS suited to our conditions and that means adjusting some features to our conditions plus traffic along with the average speed

Suzuki will work on developing ADAS for India and that is a big update since Maruti Suzuki currently does not offer this feature in any of its cars. It will develop ADAS suited to our conditions and that means adjusting some features to our conditions plus traffic along with the average speed. It is not clear which car will debut these features.

Also, for its future electrified products and its upcoming product range, reducing the weight would be crucial too as it will improve the efficiency while the structure would be strengthened as well. It will further update its 'HEARTECT' platform and enable it to become lighter plus have lower emissions.

Suzuki also globally will bet equally on EVs and ICE cars. By 2023, it already had its Z12E Engine with a focus on improving efficiency while this engine will further make its way across to other cars and hybrids. In terms of EVs, lightweight EVs would be crucial in order to save weight and also not require large battery packs as well.
Suzuki To Develop ADAS For India And Lightweight EVs

For EVs, weight is crucial and Suzuki will be developing electric vehicles that minimise energy consumption with the philosophy "Sho-Sho-Kei-Tan-Bi", including a small and efficient electric unit, plus a small and light battery. Also, as a part of its global plan, Suzuki will develop connected car technology with OTA updates too.

For India it means more features and lightweight cars which improves efficiency while affordable EVs are in the pipeline as well. Early next year we can expect the first new EV from Maruti Suzuki to come which would be the eVX and later we can expect more affordable EVs as well in the coming years which would be aimed at the mass market segment. The eVX is more of a premium 5-seater EV SUV and will be its first electric car for India.
