Royal Enfield Guerrilla To Be Priced Lower Than The Himalayan?

The Guerrilla will have 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. While similar to the Himalayan, the engine could be tuned differently in the Guerrilla, with a more on-road focus since this is a roadster

The new Royal Enfield Guerrilla has been revealed and it will rival the likes of the Triumph Speed 400 when launched. It is a 450 cc motorcycle based on the Himalayan 450. It is of course a Roadster and shares elements with the Himalayan.

If we are talking about its powertrain, it will get a 452 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 40bhp and 40Nm. The gearbox could be a 6-speed one. Design wise, the LED headlight seems familiar when compared with the Himalayan while even the fuel tank seems similar. Even the frame would be most likely the same one too.

However, the Guerrilla will have 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. While similar to the Himalayan, the engine could be tuned differently here in the Guerrilla with a more on-road focus since this is a roadster. To be revealed in a few days time, the launch is also scheduled to be soon. The pricing is important since it will lock horns with established competition including the Triumph Speed 400 and others while it is a motorcycle suited for urban riding.

Hence, it could be basically a lighter and a more on-road oriented version of the Himalayan. Also, the Guerrilla would be priced lower than the Royal Enfield Himalayan and given the shared components, the features list could be similar.

Royal Enfield has said that it will launch various new motorcycles and this is one of them which is a foray into the street naked segment for this bike maker. We will get more details soon on this motorcycle and more images so stay tuned.
