Pravaig Defy, Made In India Electric SUV, Launches This Month — Specifications, Features To Expect

Made in India electric SUV Pravaig Defy is set to launch this month, know it's specifications and features.

New Delhi: Pravaig Dynamics, a Bengaluru-based start-up is readying its first electric offering for the Indian market which is called the Defy. Pravaig had earlier showcased an electric sedan but that was a prototype and the Defy is a finished luxury SUV that would be launched on November 25. The Defy is a big SUV and aims to offer all the attributes of a flagship SUV at a lower price with specifications matching luxury SUVs. The eSUV would be sold via a direct-to-consumer retail model.

The Defy will have a big battery pack and also a dual-motor layout with AWD of course. The rendering shows edgy styling but also a broad, muscular design with a proper SUV look rather than a crossover. The eSUV will come with a lot of features including autonomous ones along with a larger touchscreen, digital displays and a Devialet sound system. Devialet is a French company that makes premium audio systems.

Like modern-day electric SUVs, the focus is on software-based features and customisation with OTA updates but along with that, the ability to upgrade easily including 5G to 6G in the future and keep updated with the latest technology.

 

Optional luxury features would be fold-out tables while the Defy would have a captain seat layout.

In terms of range, the figure is above 500km (real-world) while the power figure is around 400bhp plus with a top speed of 200kmph. The eSUV has a 400V architecture which supports various features like V2L and more. In terms of charging time, the Defy has fast-charging technology which means that the battery is topped up in 30 minutes.

Pravaig is also looking at a different way that the cars would be serviced and also will have high levels of privacy despite the tech features on board.

More details and specifications would be revealed at the launch on 25th November.
