Nissan India has finally brought in the new generation X-Trail for India and this new full sized three-row SUV will come with a turbo petrol mild hybrid engine. The X-Trail would be a new product from Nissan after the Magnite and is a premium family SUV. Nissan will also bring it in limited numbers for the Indian market via the CBU fully imported route. Being the flagship Nissan SUV, here are top 5 things that you know.
- The X-Trail for India has a length of 4,680 mm, width of 1840 mm and has a wheelbase of 2705 mm. The ground clearance of the X-Trail is 210 mm while Nissan has said that it has a turning radius of 5.5 m.
- The new X-Trail comes with a sole turbo petrol powertrain which is a 1.5l turbo petrol along with a mild hybrid system. The combined power output is around 163 bhp and 300 Nm. The gearbox is a shift by wire CVT automatic as standard. The SUV also gets drive modes while it also has a limited slip differential. For India, the X-Trail is 2WD only.
- In terms of features, the new X-Trail gets an 8inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, dual zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, a 360 degree camera, electric parking brakes, seven airbags, front parking sensors plus recline and sliding second row seats.
- Styling wise, the X-Trail features 20inch alloys, a split headlamp treatment to the front and a V shaped grille while outlined in chrome. The rear meanwhile gets LED headlamps plus there is thick cladding at the sides too.
- The X-Trail would be offered in three colour choices being Champagne Silver, Diamond Black, and Solid White. Deliveries would be from August and it will rival the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
