Nissan Juke Hybrid 2022 — SUV's First Review

Nissan Juke Hybrid 2022: The new generation Juke is also a lot more premium now with a luxurious interior along with a sporty look. This is surely a youthful design in terms of the cabin layout.

Nissan recently revealed many new products at an event for the Indian market and while we have discussed the X-Trail earlier, today we will talk about the Juke. The Juke is a famous SUV especially in European markets for its design and sportiness. Shown in India, the Juke has not yet been confirmed for launch but we do hope it will since it is a great-looking SUV that has promise with a strong hybrid version especially.

We love the styling as it is compact but has a muscular look with an almost coupe-like design plus you see a floating roof style concept which looks great as well. A sharply cut grille with round headlamps grabs your attention while the sloping roof along with large alloys scream sportiness.

The new generation Juke is also a lot more premium now with a luxurious interior along with a sporty look. This is surely a youthful design in terms of the cabin layout while the new Juke is now more spacious with a bigger boot and more room but it is still a four-seater.

There are soft touch materials, sporty seats with alcantara and features like an 8-inch touchscreen, remote commands via an app, an eight speaker Bose audio system with speakers in the headrests and more.

The Juke hybrid makes sense for India considering the interest that hybrid technology has for the Indian market. The hybrid Juke has a Renault/Nissan system which has a 1.6 litre engine with 94hp plus an electric motor which produces 36kW (49hp) and 205Nm of torque, while Renault gives a 15kW high voltage starter/generator plus an inverter and a 1.2kWh water-cooled battery. With this system, you can drive upto 80 percent in EV mode too while mileage increases by 40 percent vs a normal petrol engine.

The Juke, if coming to India would be an import and hence would attract a much higher price-tag than a hybrid Grand Vitara even though the design and the interior looks would wow a lot of prospective buyers. The Juke would be aimed as a stylish offering and the looks are good enough for Nissan to consider bringing it here even if full import status will most likely give it a high price-tag.
