New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Z Series Petrol Engine Specs

The new Dzire will debut the new three-cylinder petrol engine as seen on the Swift. It will be developing 82 bhp and 112nm.

Maruti Suzuki is readying the new generation Dzire in India and tomorrow we will get more details at its unveil. The new generation Dzire will get many changes including a new interior as we as an exterior but the biggest change like the Swift on which it is based on is the Z Series engine details.

The new Dzire will debut the new three cylinder petrol engine as seen on the Swift. It will be developing 82 bhp and 112nm. While the Z Series engine will not have a mild hybrid option, the engine would be more environmentally friendly and have more efficiency as well.

We expect figures to match the Swift in terms of efficiency while it will also get a standard 5 speed manual gearbox and an AMT. This engine is a difference over the earlier Dzire engine but it brings in better efficiency which buyers will like.

The new Dzire will come with a petrol engine only while later it could come with a CNG powertrain too like the Swift. The new Dzire will get a different exterior and a new interior while having more features like a 360 degree camera and possibly a single pane sunroof while it would be the first compact sedan to have this feature as sunroof is not commonly seen on sub 4m sedans.

The new Dzire with this powertrain will launch on the 11th and would be retailed via the Arena dealerships with rivals like the new Amaze, Xcent and also other sub 4m SUVs which also compete in this price bracket while it would also be competition to premium hatchbacks too.
