New Maruti Celerio Images And Interior Revealed Ahead Of Launch — Check Details

The new Celerio would be a budget hatchback that would be sold alongside the Wagon R.

The new Celerio would be launched in a few days time but the first cars have already started reaching dealerships all over India with images of them coming onto social media. It also gives us a chance to have a look at the lower-spec variants of the new Celerio. The new Celerio would be a budget hatchback that would be sold alongside the Wagon R.

The new Celerio as seen here looks wider and longer thanks to an all-new platform plus this new generation model debut a new look as well. The front gets a new grille while headlamps are bigger along with more sculpted lines. The current Celerio has more boxy lines. The roofline is also changed while the rear tail-lamps are much bigger now. From the rear, the new Celerio looks more premium too plus top-end versions will get 14-inch alloy wheels.

This is the mid-spec variant as seen with the interior but we do get to see the design change. There is a black theme but silver elements are there while the driver dials have a small digital screen. The top-end will get a touchscreen with the latest Maruti infotainment system while seen here is the mid-spec with manual air conditioning and no touchscreen.

That said you do get steering controls as seen here. The top-end will have Bluetooth and voice command controls, a rearview camera display on the touchscreen, and more. A bigger change thanks to the new platform is the increase in space inside while boot space is expected to be improved now too. Like the new Wagon R, the new Celerio will get a new 1.2l petrol engine with more power along with AMT/manual gearbox choices.

The 1.0l petrol will also be there but in lower-spec variants but Maruti is expected to provide an AMT option there too alongside the 5-speed manual too. We expect the new Celerio to get a price increase of a small amount but still have its pricing being kept competitive.
