New Kia Carnival Facelift: To Be More Luxurious And More Expensive Than The Current Model

The new Kia Carnival facelift gets a cosmetic makeover and brings in a more SUV-like and mature styling, sprinkled with more advanced features.

This isn't the KA4 which was shown at the Auto Expo but an updated version of that and will most likely be coming to India in this form. The new Carnival facelift borrows from the EV family of Kia SUVs and gets a different look. The grille is bigger and there are large L shaped DRLs while the alloy wheel design is new too. The new Carnival has grown in size and is massive now.

With all being said, with the facelift, the new Kia Carnival looks more of an SUV than the current Carnival, which was more of a minivan. The new accentuated design also carries to the rear where the new and refreshed Kia carnival gets L shaped lights with a connecting light bar.

In terms of engines a hybrid powertrain has been added to the range but it is unclear whether it will come to India in right hand drive form. For India when it comes finally the new Carnival will come with a diesel engine and a petrol one. The petrol is a V6.

The interior has not been revealed but expect the dual 12.3 inch screens on offer with a curved display along with the latest software. In terms of overall space and practicality, the refreshed Kia Carnival is likely to retain its generosity, as seen on its current model.

The new Carnival when it comes would be more expensive than the current one but could be localised to reduce the prices. It would be placed higher than the current Carnival of sorts with more tech and luxury.

The EV9 inspired looks would go down well with buyers and this version looks better than the one shown at the Auto Expo. We will have more details soon but this would be a premium offering while being placed above the Innova Hycross and below the Vellfire of course.
