New Honda City Facelift Revealed With Changes To Exterior And Interior — Check Features
In terms of engine options, the City will lose its diesel engine and it will be axed in favour of petrols only.
The new Honda City facelift would be launched on the 2nd of March with subtle updates. The styling has been tweaked slightly with a focus on freshening up the design. The new Honda City gets a slight change at the front with an altered grille along with a new pattern while getting a slimmer chrome bar. A new colour and tweaked alloy wheel design are the other changes. The rear styling meanwhile gets a new rear bumper design with an aggressive look while nothing else appears to have been changed. The interior will more or less be like the current City albeit coming with equipment updates like ventilated seats to compete with rivals who also have this feature while it will get a powered drivers seat, sunroof, connected car tech, ADAS and more.
In terms of engine options, the City will lose its diesel engine and it will be axed in favour of petrols only. The engine line-up will begin with a 1.5l petrol and will be having CVT plus manual gearbox options. The other powertrain is the strong hybrid which would be available in more trims other than the top-end one now. The availability of the hybrid trim in more variants will further expand the appeal of the hybrid version. Hence, the price-gap between the City top-end petrol and the City hybrid will reduce will enabling more to get the hybrid. The sedan segment will see a lot of action soon with Hyundai launching the new Verna on 21st and Honda coming in with the City. The City has been the best selling Honda and the company wants to keep this sedan looking fresh in the eyes of the buyer. That is not all as Honda will showcase its SUV for the Indian market this year with a reveal being planned for the next few months.
