New Generation Audi A6 Most Likely Coming To India

The new A6 has air suspension, all wheel steering too which makes its debut here while the design is sleek on the inside

Audi has unveiled the new generation A6 and it looks sleek with a much more sportier stance than the current A6. The new look Audi design language has a wider look with slimmer headlamps while the roof flows in much more aggfessively, the new A6 is nigger and can also have much larger wheels. The shape is more aerodynamic as well. Inside, the new A6 is much more modern and gets three screens including an optional third screen. The new A6 has air suspension, all wheel steering too which makes its debut here while the design is sleek on the inside.

 

The new A6 is longer at 4.99m and also has a longer wheelbase at 2,927 millimeters. The Audi virtual cockpit is also new and the features list includes a switchable panoramic glass roof, configurable head-up display (HUD),  four-zone automatic climate control and more. Audi has also used sustainable material on the inside and you have an optional 3d sound system too. Space has been improved from the current A6.

 

 

Powertrain options for the global markets include one diesel and two petrol including a mild hybrid system. We think the A6 in its new generation should come in sooner rather than later as this new model looks desirable and will compete with the likes of the new BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class amongst others like the Lexus ES.

 

 

An India launch is expected given the importance of the A6 to the India line-up but we can expect it only next year. The current A6 has been the backbone for Audi sales and the new one in its more glamorous avatar will certainly increase its foothold in the luxury sedan segment.
